Medical cannabis prices in Greece
The price is set centrally by the Greek Health Ministry, not by the pharmacy. That means one published figure per product, identical everywhere in the country — and it means the numbers below are checkable rather than an estimate.

01 · The price list
Price per gram, by strain and pack size
Flower is sold in sealed packs of 5 or 10 grams. The 10 gram pack is cheaper per gram in almost every strain. All figures include the 6% VAT.

How to read this
The most expensive strain per gram is Avidekel, the CBD-rich, very low-THC one — and it is also the only strain where the 10 gram pack does not reduce the per-gram price. Note that the physician selects the strain, not you.
02 · Regulation
Why the price is the same at every pharmacy
The Greek Health Ministry publishes a single price bulletin covering all medical cannabis products. Each barcode carries three prices: ex-factory, wholesale and retail. The current order was published on 20 May 2026, under Health Minister decision Δ3(α) 19962/13-5-2026 (ΦΕΚ Β′ 2716).
The retail price is derived from the ex-factory price by a uniform formula: wholesale margin, pharmacy margin, and 6% VAT. Nothing in that chain is set at the counter.
03 · Oils
Not only flower
Alongside flower there are oral oil solutions, in 10 gram bottles:
- 3% concentration — €37.27 per bottle
- 9% concentration — €75.81 per bottle
These are priced per bottle rather than per gram, so they are not directly comparable to the flower figures above. Oils are a relatively late addition to the Greek market.
04 · Reimbursement
Insurance does not cover it
All 24 products in the price order are expressly marked as not reimbursed. The patient pays 100% out of pocket. That is true for Greek residents and for visitors alike, and is unrelated to whatever cover you hold at home.
In practice: the amount in the table above is what you pay at the counter, in full, with no reimbursement from any source.
05 · Origin
Who makes it, and where
All approved medical cannabis products in Greece come from Tikun Olam, and the strains are its established ones: Erez, Avidekel, Midnight.
The detail that is easy to get wrong: the products are not imported. They are grown and manufactured in Greece itself, at a facility in the Corinth region, under a Greek registration in the name of Tikun Olam Greece SA. Importing medical cannabis into Greece is prohibited, so foreign-grown product could not reach the Greek market in any case.
If you already know these strain names from a scheme in your own country, the genetics will be familiar even though the product and packaging are not the same — which can be useful context when discussing with the physician what has worked for you before.
06 · Trend
Prices have fallen, considerably
A 5 gram pack that cost €82.96 in February 2024 costs €57.18 as of May 2026 — a drop of roughly 31%.

The most recent order's own title notes that it incorporates requests for price reductions — meaning the cut was sought by the marketing-authorisation holder itself. Do not read a continuing trend into that: check the current order on the Greek Health Ministry site before travelling.
07 · Bottom line
What you actually pay, and to whom
Two entirely separate payments, to two different parties:

The service fee does not include the product, and the product does not pass through us. We do not sell cannabis, do not supply it, and do not profit from its price. If the physician does not approve, the service fee is refunded in full — and you pay nothing at a pharmacy, because there will be nothing to redeem.
Not included on either side: flights, accommodation, travel and incidentals. Those are yours, and they usually come to a good deal more than the product itself.
